Telehealth
TECC's customizable telehealth tools allow us to build a variety of interventions for every patient, even for those with the most complex healthcare needs.

The main features of our telehealth program are highlighted below.

ACT.md
The Telehealth Epilepsy Care Collaborative team partnered with software engineers at ACT.md to build online care plans that double as a storage place for patient medical information and a meet-up location for patients and providers. These HIPAA-secure care plans can be shared with anyone who has a verified email address and are 100% personalizable.

Epilepsy Care
Why should patients with epilepsy - and those who care for them - use telehealth? There are several compelling reasons:

-
Rapid triage and seizure screening
-
Instantly accessible seizure action plan
-
Fast and secure messaging to any person on the plan
-
Seizure log and symptom tracker
-
Easy sharing of EEG, MRI results
-
Video-conference providers from the comfort of home
-
Medication lists and reminders
-
Upload videos of seizures or suspect events

And these are only a few of many possibilities.

Customization
Many health facilities allow patients to view their medical charts online. However, patients are "locked out" of these sites, and can't include information of their own. That's what makes our platform different.

Using our tools, patients and families can include personal information, such as communication preferences, career and education aspirations, group home contact hours, and events on a personalized calendar. This uniqueness matters, as each of our patients deserves an individualized approach.

Coordination
Epilepsy is best treated by a community.

Our care plans can be shared with school nurses, babysitters, sports coaches, primary care physicians, other specialists, or any other caretaker who may need to know about a child's health condition. Now your neurologist can explain to others exactly how to administer rescue seizure medication over phone call, or can discuss medication changes directly with a psychiatrist.

The best part? Patients have the power to choose who they want to coordinate with by adding or removing administrators to the plan whenver they choose.
